The study into how a floating development and moorings for inland navigation vessels can be combined will begin before 2010. The conditions required for the realisation of an innovative, floating development in the Maashaven in the medium to long term will also be investigated. In the short term, the possibility of an energy cascade, where residual energy from industry is used to heat new and existing housing, needs to be confirmed.
