The successful development of maritime services will also continue here, including the construction of floating offices between piers 3 and 4. The Waalhavenboulevard itself will be widened and completely renovated and the connection to the A15 at the Groene Kruisplein improved. A new bridge for slow traffic between the Zuiderpark and pier 3 over the Waalhavenboulevard will ensure that the quays and the water become part of the public space in the city. Attractive amenities (restaurants, cafés and a viewpoint, for example) will be introduced on pier 3 for both workers and residents. The centre will be easily accessible via the water bus and water taxi. This development, coinciding with the restructuring of the Wielewaal residential district, will benefit from the quality impulse generated along the Waalhaven.
